Inhalt der Lehrveranstaltung

A common explanation for development problems in Africa points at „bad governance“. The underlying critique focuses mainly on the weakness of state institutions with reference to the “new institutional economics”.  We will discuss this approach using country case studies and comparative studies (Africa – Asia) and analyze its strength and limitations.
